This is a bit better than mid. It’s not amazing, but there are details that do stand out. The basics premise is that the MC was also the Tang Clan Supreme in his past life and he gains that knowledge during a near death experience. Nothing new. But, the new part comes from the fact that the Tang Clan Supreme isn’t really dead yet, instead he ascended as an Immortal. Both the MC and the Tang Clan Supreme share a soul, so they shared each other’s memories and information. Most of the time the story revolves around the MC, and on occasion we get to see what the Tang Clan Supreme is doing on the Immortal plane with his knowledge of modern times. All the while the MC is creating pharmaceutical drugs with his Tang Clan knowledge. It has enough of a different idea that I’ll continue reading, but we’ll see for how long before it may get dropped.
