i mean, necromancers arent just about raising the dead. They are associated with corpses, poison, disease, deception, ext. Poison is more than connected to his job role. Also, he can use elemental attributes onto his summons so hes just a really yolked necromancer.
Plus he technically isnt even using his own poison. Hes just extracting poison droplets from the corpse of the god and using that, eventually it will run out if he keeps relying on it.
