The excuse the plot is using is that by killing another player he will be made into a murder like the guy he just killed. Which would force some things onto him that would cause other issues.
I mean, if he turns into a killer, he HAS to keep killing people, or else he’ll die or something bad will happen, and that’s just inconvenient, both plot-wise, and reality-wise. Plus, he’s said before that you only get 3 chances, and on the 3rd one, you become the murderer, and you have no choice anymore. You only get one or two people kills before that happens.
