Honestly… I understand the MC. When it coems to survival, nothing’s more important than your own self (If you don’t have a family, that is). And here MC is truly alone. And he has done the bare minimum to warn the people he somewhat cares about and that’s actually more than what most people do.
Personally, I would’ve only taken my family and bestfriend into that otherworld and survived with them alone.
I’m out. This pointless “I must keep my secret!” crap is ruining this. One of the guys who was “nice” in game revealed himself to be a right arse before the apocalypse even kicked off. Now he’s talking about his friends in-game he can “trust unconditionally” over the people he knows IRL, specifically the gym owner and his hair stylist, who, not only were he close with before all this happened, but have revealed themselves to be constantly trying to look out for him, even though he’s being sus. It’s pointless tension and dragging down an otherwise decent story!
he could have said that his trait was the subspace pocket, and said that it was a little underwhelming as it was useful but not in combat, and in the future said that his trait evolved on the portal one
You know, he could just say later when he does finally trust them fully, that his trait had a restriction making him incapable of revealing it. Like he reaches level 30 or something, and he goes to them and says “Hey, I’ve been lying to you the entire time, I wasn’t able to tell you the truth due to my trait, it has prevented me from talking about it due to it being so over powered, I just hit a milestone that now lets me talk about it. So I’ve been awakened the entire time and my trait is subspace blah blah blah etc.”, like it may not be the most convincing lie, but it’s not like they could verify it. If he’s earnest enough about it, and they trust his as much as they seem too, I don’t think it’d be too farfetched to think they’d understand, especially with how he acted and what he said at the end of this chapter.
reread the the story, its a mental problem, lying again would just cause more guilt. hes just waiting untill he can 100% TRUST whoever he tells. while also waiting until they are strong enough to take down the mobs that will spawn because of his high level. hes between a rock and a hard place, Hes human so craves interaction with other humans, but at the same time hes scared that the interaction could lead to powerful beings trampling his friends.
Venomous
So in a nutshell we all agree that mc is a p*$$y
