I was expecting a darker ending. With all the anticipation. I thought the MC would kill the 2 heavenly immortals and fallout with the heavenly court. Refusing to ascend. The heavenly court would a heavenly general and destroy the MC world. then he would have to run to the underworld with his close ones swearing to destroy the heavenly court. Something like that would have been epic. This ending feels like back to normal

As a reader who has completed the whole novel.. IT’S GOING TO TAKE A LONG ASS TIME. Chapter 500’s in the novel, maybe 300’s (*spoiler*) if you count han Jue going to the 33rd heaven with the heavenly emperor, but han Jue only actually stays in the immortal realm (heavenly Dao) at 500 above when he finally stops hiding in the nine nether purgatory in the underworld for like a hundred chapters and that’s after the heavenly Dao calamity.
