Not a strong start. Goofy MC that is righteous at the same time, Plus he is stupidly overpowered in 9 chapters so that he defeats strongest swordsman of the Empire. He masters the N1 assassins skills fully in half a chapter within a week. I am struggling to understand how author can make this suspenseful except for some artificial bullshit of nerfing MC by binding his hands with hostages or something. Otherwise dude is overpowered from the get go in a tragic strong eats a weak world setting.
I hope it’s not a power fantasy; if it’s more grounded in reality in terms of duels, it will be more fun. For example, the elf in this chapter trained for decades but lost and died because he made a silly mistake.
