I think sylvia went back to the family most likely for raon’s sake, because she was with child. I imagine if she wasn’t pregnant and found her husband and daughter dead, she had nothing left and would probably follow them to the after life. even if she went on living, I doubt she would return to the house where she was unhappy even before.
