I think the Main Character should just tell people Evangel is his daughter, people are going to figure out eventually that she is always at his house, so she can’t be a niece or something like that, and pretending to be a dog will eventually stop working, it’s not entirely uncommon for people to(ACCIDENTALLY) have children at that age.
And besides, it makes him more interesting.
(Also, if I recall correctly, he fed the seed that created Evangel with his blood, so she should be genetically related to him, or something like that)
