So basically in the novel we are currently at about chapter 115 or somewhere there out of 380. Now for the spoilers:
This is the academy arc but its nearing its end. After this he fully joins the mercenary group, and we fully focus on the group characters, the current academy characters only mentioned here and there until later in the story when it all comes together. Thats when he gets closer to boss.
@Rimuru Spoiler alert: You’re right. They have connection which isn’t clearly explained here due to the manhwa setting as compared to the more detailed novel. But even without it, due to the future story progression Hajin just grew closer with Boss.
