It’s not that he’s the strongest, it’s more that he has way more potential than any other player, because playing the hardest version of the game without any cheats, meant he spent a lot more time figuring out the mechanics, finding the secrets, trying different classes, different combinations of abilities (aka different builds) and different party compositions.
Where other players would blitz through a floor with ease, he spent weeks exploring every corner of the floor, learning everything about them, earning every single win with blood and tears. (at this point, probably only the dev knows more about that world’s secrets than him)
Plus, beating the easier version of the game with cheats, meant those players weren’t ready for just how brutally hard the issekai world would be.
People who already got there years ago, had plenty of time to slowly grow stronger. Meanwhile he’s catching up to them fast. If you compared how strong he is now, to how strong they were after a year in that world, they’d be children in comparison.
This is getting kinda annoying for me he’s supposed to be the best at this game/world but here we are 136 chapters in and he’s still so weak compared to others
I believe he has only been in this world for around a year thats why he places so much emphisis on getting to the higher floors to get stronger. The people he is making enemies with are high level characters and “evil spirits” whove been there for years.
I read the light novel and the pacing is really good. Even though it’s 136 chapters in the story line he’s actually moving at a crazy fast pace collecting rare essence and going up floors. To put it in perspective it takes years to go up to the 5th floor and he made it less than half or a quarter of that time.
Another perspective is that in one piece it took 357 chapters to go to gear 2nd or in Naruto it took 153 Naruto to master the rasengan
