He can be fighting for others while fighting alone, he doesnt necessarily needs help. It would have been much cooler if he was like the lone hero clashing heads with the entirety of the ragnarok as indicated since chapter 1. The fact he needs to rely on others to face ragnarok betrays his efforts and conviction in S1. (Also why tf is he a swordmaster now, did his axe mastery just vanished into thin air?)
