So it looks like the rushed the hell out of the manwha and skipped like hundreds of chapters. First of all the whole thing with the nuke was more of a big deal, there were more fights where they used the powder from the tablets as tracers for bullets. Someone correct me on this since it’s been years since I’ve read the novel but if I recall manage to take over the massive floating island one of the original carriers that they mentioned before essentially becomes its “main computer” and he transforms that whole floating island into a massive fortress, think Death Star in terms of arsenal on its surface. In the end the whole scenes with the planes was more dramatic cause there were actual resistance. At one point Roland goes into a coma and that’s when the battle between him and the custodian happens. Ultimately they find he’s become that very being and find him in this massive whole that the mermaid girl found. The ending of the novel shows that the project that he mentions that he was working on was a means to revive ashes and the very ending shows her coming back to Tilly wearing a dress if I’m not mistaken
For some reason the last 8 chapters or so adapted the last 300ish chapters of the light novel. And by adapted I mean completely skipped them and just took parts here and then. This chapter is the actual end of the story. If you want to know the rest go search for the light novel and start at around chapter 1150.
