The worldbulding is quite bad in this novel. We don’t know the overall situation in the world, barely know about the ragnar family and the why’s of the war situation. We don’t know the specific differences of levels in the power system and much more. Therefore, the story feels very incomplete all the time.
mystery is bound to be solved , step by step. if they gave us all now , we would be annoyed with the amount of information , while now we just enjoy the progress and emotion and turn of event
