i feel like he has to have a deeper excuse for turning her down. if he doesn’t, that was honestly the dumbest plot decision in a minute. if he simply feels he can’t uphold her values in the future, say that instead of saying he has too many teachers and then listing everyone he possibly can as a teacher. just seems like a bs excuse to me.
i hate when a good story gets too many telling and less showing . for a few episode now they explain and explaimn by telling things at first it was good by showing us story but now its all about telling it. its like insstead of showing us his previous life they are telling us that his mother dyed and they betrayed him.
they showed his mom die in the first chapter and we watched him piece together and discover who was behind it, so i don’t really get your complaint. also, who betrayed him? rendor, axion, and his family were never his allies in the first place. rendor was always a double agent working for axion. even then it showed him plotting against the MC in the first few chapters and showed his thoughts. “show, don’t tell” doesn’t really stand up here imo. none of these chapters have been info dumps. you’re basically complaining that characters have conversations and discuss things or characters have internal dialogues. its stupid.
