Guessing that is “the dark thing” from two of the SINS backstory. In a good way, the small fry fighting for the underworld works out because even if they win, they’ll never be as Big as his family was (their essentially fighting over ASHES that have no meaning) and wouldn’t be shocked if any to get close decide to “get rid of him either out of fear he might change his mind or simply to wipe his family out completely out of old grudges or whatever, only for “the children” to wipe them out! I can already imagine how his reputation will become more infamous when alot of Noble families get wiped, plus he’s protected by TWO powerhouses (he did what his father and brothers failed to do without trying…..or even KNOWING and that is get his houses “too other Rivals under his control!”) I wouldn’t be shocked if the Royalty have him under observation!
