I’m actually very curious about this. The current Emperor is pursuing the ninth leaf with all his might; if anyone can do it, he’ll definitely be the first. But will he really succeed? Is cutting down the Lotus truly the answer? Or is this just another dead end?
Here’s a MILD SPOILER about the lore of this world for you, if you are really curious.
You have three options in that world: 1. cultivate and “pay the price” to the lotus to reach the ninth leave; 2. sever your lotus and recultivate, changing completely the way the cultivation works after a certain point; 3. this only works for people starting knowing what happens to reach the ninth, that is don’t form a lotus at all. This third method is described in the novel, but we never actually see something like that happening.
When you create your avatar, you can actually create it in whatever form you desire. However, the common humans usually create an avatar that is a completely static human in a meditating pose, but you also have Yu Shangrong that has a mobile one. The wild tribes create theirs using animals as reference, and there are some other types that will appear briefly at a very later time.
To me, the weirdest thing about all that is that Lu Zhou simply blurted this a while ago without ever having the knowledge about how that works, but he is correct. There was no insight, no info on the system.
