I think it might be a paradox, he is the martial god and the martial god is him, one can’t exist without the other, the martial god version is a version that became a constellation and is surprised/ worried that this version will surpass and kill/defeat him. Since it seems that the martial god wants to keep getting stronger and stay in power, not give it to another self.
