Hmmm what I get is his late mother is probably from the Iron Blood Sect/Blood Sword Sect, and just like with MC’s disciple situation it was some kind of Heir/Leader competition where they kill each other. And by the look of that flashback panel looks like MC also went thru the same thing? No wonder the Unorthodox Leader called him Cheonra or something & also why the “Demon” called MC “My Child”
