Lets see, what we know so far is that this sea has all sorts of curses, ghost, demons, marine, pirates, special islands.
First theory is, just like how those special islands have their own jurisdiction, the whole sea might be a jurisdiction by a greater being, like Poseidon or something. Then comes the question, why would he curse women from coming to the sea?
1. To protect them? 2. He’s been hurt by women before? 3. To protect the men from women?
I can keep going but this isn’t interesting enough.
