to me the main problem is with corin.. just because he knows some future events, he is very under prepared.. considering he should have realized by now that some people knows he come from the future… and even without it, with so many changes.. is he expecting others not to change their moves.. like is there a rule final boss should do nothing till the final battle, since some plans were already failed, it’s normal that people increase more counter measure.. then there’s this thing where he believe he knows how they will act.. as if.. different experience build up different mindset..

Except that this particular game of chess has like a gazillion pieces and you only know their favourite moves, not what they will actually play.
