Even with just the knowledge of the game, he’s suppose to know something about her background just as how he knows the background of Alisha and her family. This is a massive blunder. When Mariette disappear in his past life, the parents are suppose to look for her whereabouts and thus giving them a connection that he should know Mariette’s background. There’s no way that she’ll just be forgotten when she herself is an important piece of the whole game. Also, he’s been at the Duke’s Castle in his past life – so why is it that MC doesn’t know anything about the Dunaleif when they’re basically occupying the whole Southern region? If he really is just acting then his surprised expression is not an excuse about the easy completion of the Duke’s Castle’s quest if he really master the game’s basic information. Mariette’s family can’t just magically appear to be super rich with just butterfly effect of player’s action. According to the plot, Mariette and Hwaran isn’t just an easter egg event cuz they’re also a named character that the info of them would just pop out illogically. This is a massive blunder from the author, it’s not peak writing anymore.
A reply months later is silly but for anyone reading the comments; I’m pretty sure Mariette was supposed to die after becoming the first boss which is why the mc doesn’t know much about her or her family. And Mariette’s residence is in Leff, while I think the castle is in Duna; so since they’re different cities he likely never passed through Leff and it’s not outlandish to consider that he wouldn’t have put 2 and 2 together on the name since he was never that close with Mariette in his previous experiences.
And here everyone, we have someone who thinks logically in the wrong direction of how logic is to be thought of. 🙂 They didn’t put two and two together that Mariette was supposed to be killed off early in the game, meaning all of this info we’re now seeing COULDN’T have been known. However, instead of thinking about it on this approach, they called the author a shit writer. Wow. Thrilling analyses Kyut04. Brilliant.
Because the original hero, the Park B8tch, was a narcissistic selfish socipathic piece of shit who treated all this as a video game and everyone else is a just NPC to be used. Except, our dear MC here is not like that. He understood that although this world is like the game, the people here have real family and friends and he treated them as human beings. That’s the difference between the original Hero bastard and our dear MC. This new route only opened because MC was humane and genuinely cares about the people. His kindness and compassion is rewarded. Also f**k you, original hero Park B*tch. You deserve an eternity in Hell.
