I don’t know what beef the king has with the mc’s body, but dayum, he’s a bastard for not sending a reinforcement. Or there is another reason behind his decision
you gotta go back to the first few chapters.. remeber the current prince was the legendary sword that took control of the first princes body when he accidentally stabbed himself with it. The first prince at the beginning was a fat slovenly asshole who was a sexual deviant to any and all women so of course the king his father was disgusted by him. He is apprehensive because he still thinks the 1st prince is still a piece of shit despite what hes doing in the north
