No matter how different a world is from a social standpoint will it be sci fi, fantasy, or even dark fantasy/horror it seems its a very popular troupe for them to be incredibly ignorant or stupid. I understand nobles are usually weak and insignificant when it comes to fighting back in the day and in manhwa/manga and typically use they’re subordinates and then take the glory that comes with the victory but they are pushing it abit too far now. Its so generic for the knights to assume they are weak and then “oh wow hes so strong! shocking!”
