Black is the mix of all colors that’s why on a sunny day, wearing black is much hotter than wearing white because it absorbs every color which made up the light spectrum that carries heat. As for light, if I should its what makes colors but it’s definitely not white. On space there’s no colors, even the black you see? That’s just nothing, kinda like what blind see. That’s why white reflects because it doesn’t have colors therefore it doesn’t accept any of the colors in the spectrum.

Light colors are different from paint colors. Light is aditive, paint is subtractive. Even tho they use paint to recharge, the powers are more based on light color.
But well…. the autor may just mix both whenever they want, so we shouldn’t try to make sense of it.
