   Man, MC just can’t catch a break, it’s all about constant betrayal and moving on to survive.

   I’ve read up to chapter 52, so here’s the rundown.

   The MC’s father is known as a strict and ruthless man. His uncle starts a rebellion to seize the estate along with a powerful sword and armor set, which eventually leads to the father’s death. Before dying, the father orders his eldest son to flee with the sword and armor and one day avenge their family.

   While protecting the MC during their escape, the elder brother becomes corrupted by evil spirits. Realizing he is losing control and may harm his younger brother, he sacrifices himself so that the MC can survive and live on.

   Left alone, the MC later accepts an offer from a count of another empire. The count assigns him a mentor to train him in the way of the sword. The mentor shows compassion and guides him sincerely, but eventually leaves. During his stay, the MC grows close to a servant, who later reveals that the count’s kindness was only a scheme to gain his trust and steal the sword and armor. The servant helps the MC escape before the betrayal is carried out.

   The MC crosses the border into another kingdom, where he reunites with his mentor and once again becomes his apprentice. This is where the story currently stands.

      Yeah, this is kind of garbage. Ignoring the mc who is young and naive, even his father who is supposed to be this cold ruthless person let his brother go twice and then his brother came back and killed him. I don’t think he is the person who should be preaching about decisiveness and ruthlessness.

      Also I am like 15 chapters in, and you know how most revenge manhwas start with first episode of some kind of betrayal and then second episode is new start? well, in this manhwa we are still on episode 1. It is that slow
