Honestly, if he wanted to wrap up this mission simply, couldn't he just dominate the Chevle Von Hadelio guy and tell him to fuck off? He could still hide the fact that he's specifically protecting the Duchess's kid by just becoming the Top Dog at the school that everyone fears more than Chevle Von Hadelio.
And the Duchess's kid only needs to be protected while at school, so it doesn't matter that it's a crude solution because the second he leaves the school his own family can protect him.
Seems like a lot more effort to go with this smoke and mirrors approach.
