I am liking the story so far. I like the way they’re showing Luka’s way of thinking and how he is changing. I think eventually he’ll oppose the empire.
He already has a disturbed mind, and using that fighting technique will only make it worse. The author is a… now that you put it that way, that bastard Luka has a reason to kill the girl, though I don’t like it knowing what she means to Ilay; it’s a complex issue. From that perspective, Luka was right not to get involved, but the fact that he blindly believes killing her is the best way to save his “partner”—that’s the problem. I wouldn’t even call it friendship anymore. it’s just a means to an end.

Luka’s become a Real monster in the Battle Field, which is a necessity at times. Especially using a sword.
