MC doesn't do any training to become stronger.
He keeps on talking about how he lacks internal energy, but barely does anything towards growing it. All he have done so far to become stronger is to take one pill that boost internal energy.
I am also not much fan of how story only revolves within Demon's palace and there is not interaction with outside world other than couple of chapters where he went outside to earn some money.
I still think its a fantastic read, and deserve 8/10 rating, but tailor your expectation to be more towards drama and politics instead of training and action.
Also, there is no proper waifu till 31 chaps. However, It may change very soon.
