Sadly, the story is too rushed… The academy plot could have been like 50 chapters, but it was finished rapidly. The next short plots could have been far longer, like the expedition on that frozen city… The year and a half training-time skip could have been at least 20 or 30 chapters, en entire arc, alongside the letters with the princess… The Underworld plot could have been another entire arc of 30 chapters… The travel by ship and fight against pirates, another 10… This island could have been 40 chapters easily with training included… Instead, every plot lasts 5 or 10 chapters at the most. TRaining only happens off page, and the progression feels hollow because they seem like power ups, instead of his own achievements… Add the fact that his spells are extremely basic…
