The weird thing is that in the novel he couldn’t actually use the god blood for a lich.
At least in the novel before he met Antares he managed to get some of the fire gods blood from the area where the phoenix blew a hole in the surface of the central area and any time he tried using it it would just instantly explode which made it a limited resource but insanely powerful. In the novel he used a fire lich to attack the church members which did a small amount of damage to the angel, but killed a bunch of the church members and then resorted to his usual tactic and threw the corpses at the angel and blew them up which only did marginal damage, then resorted to tossing a poison lich out which lasted long enough to get right in the angels face and blow up creating a cloud of toxic gas.
The funny thing with the liches being stuck as kamikaze troops is they don’t distinguish friend or foe so he had to outrun his own skill to keep the poison from dissolving him.
