Okay, so the god of creation is cultivating weapons to kill the other gods. But why would she want to get rid of the other gods? 🤔
I mean: Sure, theybare fickle and some are openly hostile. But most live in peace with each other and with humanity. So there is no logical readon to get rid of them from another god’s perspective. 🤔
I think the God of Creation wants to be the last god standing, ego and narcissism just like any other god come into play. The God of Creation knows she has no chance of killing the other Gods, so she creates the tower to cultivate someone she can control (hence the restrictions) and, in doing so, creates the weapon only she can control to kill all gods.
That’s a simple perspective, because like you said, not all gods want murder and destruction and are happy to work with humanity and are content with what they have. But I think the story shows well that the gods still have all the issues that humanity has, and if not more, with immortality and wanting death.
They live that way NOW. The Tower seems to be an ancient thing though, even if it only “recently” came to Earth. They were in an all out war at the time. They are kept in check due to the Tower, and, even then, there are still some scheming and trying to create a counter to it. Not saying she’s right, but we have a potential motive before her real motive is even revealed.
