She was serving under that warden, she certainly have seen worse shit than a guy being taken by a firing squad (or have things done to her). At the very least, there's a possibility that she already accepted she'll be killed in a petty tantrum of some a-hole.
But, all that is still asking way too much from a manhua, the same media where nepotism is not only normal, but encouraged, and people choose who's to plan logistics and manage personnel, by seeing who can punch harder.
